Meetings

We hold three main types of meetings throughout the year. If you would like to attend one of our meetings or find out more about them, email us.

Our Annual General Meeting, held in September, is open to all tenants and residents and provides an opportunity for you to stand for one of our 4 officer posts or to become one of our many committee members. We also provide an update on the past year’s activities and achievements and often invite a guest speaker to talk about an issue of concern such as public housing, the environment or safety.

We also have 3 other General meetings each year.

Our committee meetings are held monthly on the third Monday of each month. At these meetings, we discuss any issues that have recently arisen and that we feel we need to become involved in, and we receive updates from the various subcommittees on their activities. The meetings are open to all tenants and residents of the area surrounding Brunswick Park, but only committee members can vote.

Our various sub-committees occasionally hold meetings to discuss, plan and prepare our responses on particular issues (especially if they are significant or ongoing) and to plan activities such as our fete. These meetings are arranged as and when needed. We currently have 4 sub-committees. The sub-committee meetings are only open to members of the sub-committee (who are also committee members) and to invited tenants / residents who have expressed an interest in becoming involved.

Occasionally we attend meetings of other community groups such as those listed below. This is to ensure that our issues are included in their agendas, our community’s views are shared with them and to find out about their activities so we can report back to our community.

Housing Forum - Brunswick Park Safer Neighbourhood Group - Southwark Group of Tenants Organisations - Camberwell Baths - Camberwell Community Council - SE5 Forum - Camberwell Society
